Theatrical Classes

Performance Theatre
This class will explore the foundations of theatre and help students learn how to develop characters and scenes, including improvisation, character development, monologues, theatrical make-up, scene development, costuming, and set design. Students will learn through theatrical games, exercises, instruction, rehearsal, staging, and team work.

Competitive Speech
This class will learn and apply essential acting techniques in order to develop and perfect speech interpretations for competition, with the rules associated with NCFCA and STOA in mind.

Classical Speech
This course is designed to give students skill, confidence, and fluency in public speaking, and focuses on thinking and speaking well with a focus on the five cannons of rhetoric: inventio, dispositio, elocutio, memoria and pronuntiatio.
